Mook Lee

The manwha, Refund High School, left such a huge impact on me when I was in middle school and I especially loved Mook Lee. 

I’ve always wanted to make something of him so here’s this pattern!

Also now in hindsight, I do think adding the white felt on his shirt made him look a bit neater but now he also looks like a founding father :sob:


Also before I begin this pattern, I'd like to mention that a lot of my inspiration and tips I've learned comes from atlastnicole on Youtube so you should definitely check them out! ('w')


🍀 Materials needed:
3.5 mm crochet hook
sewing needle 
scissors
white felt (optional)
fabric glue (optional)
black embroidery thread
yarn (see below)

🍀 Yarn colors you’ll need:
Black
Dark grey
Steel blue
White
Ivory

🍀 Abbreviation Guide:
R#= Row Number

sc= single crochet
hdc= half double crochet
dc= double crochet 
tr= treble crochet
pc= popcorn stitch (5 dc)
slst= slip stitch 
inc= increase
dec= decrease
ch= chain
st= stitch
FLO= front loop only


☘️ Jacket ends (in dark grey)
R1: ch 11 (10 st)
*after each round from now, ch 1 after finishing the round and flip the piece around to continue onto the next round
R2: start in second ch from hook, 4 sc, inc, 5 sc (11 st)
R3: sc, ch 3, skip 3 st, 3 inc, ch 3, skip 3 st, sc (14 st)
R4: inc, 5 sc, 2 inc, 5 sc, inc (18 st)
R5: 2 sc, 2 inc, 10 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc (22 st)
R6: 7 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 7 sc (24 st)
R7-10: sc in each stitch (24 st)
R11: sc in each stitch, do not chain one (24 st)
Finish off

☘️ Legs (make 2 in dark grey)
R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6 st)
R2-9: sc in each stitch around (6 st)
*Finish off if this is the first leg but if it is the second, ch 2 and connect to the first leg, do not finish off and continue to the body.
☘️ Body (continue with dark grey) 
R10: Continuing from the two legs, sc in each stitch around (16 st)
R11: switch colors to blue, sc all around (16 st)
R12: sc all around (16 st)
R13: 3 sc, inc (20 st)
R14-15: sc all around (20 st)
R16: 8 sc, switch colors to white, 2 sc, switch colors to blue, 10 sc (20 st)
R17: 3 sc, dec, 2 sc, switch colors to white, sc, dec, 1 sc, switch colors to blue, 2 sc, dec, 3 sc, dec (16 st)
R18: 2 sc, dec, sc, switch colors to white, sc, dec, 2 sc, switch colors to blue, dec, 2 sc, dec (12 st)
R19: 1 sc, dec (8 st)
Finish off

☘️ Head (in ivory)
R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6 st)
R2: inc all around (12 st)
R3: 1 sc, inc (18 st)
R4: 2 sc, inc (24 st)
R5: 3 sc, inc (30 st)
R6: 4 sc, inc (36 st)
R7-13: sc all around (36 st)
R14: 4 sc, dec (30 st)
R15: 3 sc, dec (24 st)
R16: 2 sc, dec (18 st) 
Put safety eyes between R11-12 with 8 sts in between, embroider face 
R17: 1 sc, dec (12 st)
Behind stuffing
R18: dec all around (6 st)
Finish stuffing, finish off and leave a tail. Connect body and head. 

☘️ Hair cap (in white)
R1: 6 sc in magic circle (6 st)
R2: inc all around (12 st)
R3: 1 sc, 1 inc (18 st)
R4: 2 dc, 1 inc of dc (24 st)
R5: 3 dc, 1 inc of dc (30 st)
R6: 4 dc, 1 inc of dc (36 st)
R7-8: dc in each stitch around
Finish off with a hdc, then sc, then a sl st, then another sl st (hdc, sc, 2 slst). Weave in the ends. 

☘️ Arm sleeves (make 2 in dark grey)
R1: ch 12, connect to end with slst (should create a circle)(12 st)
R2: hdc all around (12 st)
R3: sc, inc (18 st)
Finish off


☘️ Arms (make 2, start with ivory)
*The arm sleeves need to be made before this step
R1-3: 6 sc in magic circle (6 st)
R4: sc all around (6 st)
R5: switch colors to dark grey, pull arm sleeve onto current round and sc both together *when sc the arm sleeve, only crochet with FLO and skip every other loop, *when sc the current round on the arm, sc as normal (6 st)


R6-10: sc all around (6 st)
R11: squish and crochet both sides together (3 st)
Finish off, leave a tail and attach to body!

☘️ Hair (in white)
Refer to images below as to where to put the hair strands, a lot of this step will depend on your own creativity (make as you see fit!)

R1: ch 25
R2: 3 slst, 4 sc, 5 hdc, 6 dc, 6 tr

23 ch (1)
R1: ch 23
R2: 2 slst, 3 sc, 4 hdc, 5 dc, 8 tr

20 ch (3)
R1: ch 20
R2: 2 slst, 2 sc, 3 hdc, 6 dc, 6 tr

15 ch (3)
R1: ch 15
R2: 2 slst, 2 sc, 3 hdc, 3 dc, 4 tr

10 ch (4)
R1: ch 10
R2: 2 slst, 3 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc

7 ch (5)
R1: ch 7
R2: slst, 2 sc, 2 hdc, dc

☘️ Collar (in white)
ch 3, in 2nd ch from hook slst, hdc, ch 8, in 2nd chain from hook slst, hdc

☘️ Sweater hem (in blue)
10 ch (make 2)
R1: ch 10
R2: slst in each stitch

15 ch
R1: ch 15
R2: slst in each stitch

☘️ Horns (make 2 in blue)
R1: 3 sc in magic circle (3 st)
R2: sc all around (3 st)
R3: inc (6 st)
R4: sc all around (6 st)
R5: sc, inc, sc, inc, pc (popcorn stitch of 5 dc), inc (9 st)
R6: 2 sc, inc (12 st)
Finish off


🍀 Assembly
1. Attach head and arms to body
3. Glue or stitch sweater hems onto sweater 
4. Glue or stitch collar around neck 


5. Embroider “+” onto front of jacket and behind


6. Embroider pattern into jacket sleeve


7. Embroider face if not already done


8. Place hair cap on head and begin stitching or glueing the strands on
